Harli's nurse had her goal today to get her off the jet ventilator which is a very realistic goal that we were able hit mid afternoon.  Her blood gases continue to improve and now the nurses are hoping she could get off the conventional ventilator by Monday.  The nurse practitioner did inform us that the problem of getting off the ventilator is that the CPAP machine tends to put extra oxygen in the stomach which would not be a good thing with her intestine problem.

The nurses informed us that they are having a little problem with Harli and getting her to stay in one spot and not wiggling out of her bed.  One time Blair and I got to witness Harli pulling herself out of her bed getting her diaper off and peeing all over her bed, which is awesome to see how strong that little girl is and how much fight she has in her.  P.S. she was doing all this while having the ventilator tube down her throat and all the wires and tubes connected to her body.

Since being on the conventional ventilator they are able to keep turning it down a little because her blood gases continue to show improvement which is what we are praying for.

This picture shows the jet ventilator on the far left which Harli was able to get off of today!

The nurses went to the blanket closet and were able to find a nice blanket for Harli.  It helps break up all the different pinks.
