Harli has started showing signs of improvement and they have been able to lower the jet ventilator a little and her blood gases have been coming back all over the board.
The nurse practitioner had a brain ultrasound done on Harli (this is done a week after they are born on all premature babies). The doctor came in and told Blair and I that he couldn't find anything from the ultrasound but they were still waiting on an official reading.
The nurse practitioner told Blair and I that they were going to keep Harli on antibiotics for a total of 10 days for the infection which she got from her intestine leaking. At the end of the 10 days they would give Harli a dye and watch it flow through her body to see if the intestine has healed on its own or if they are going to have to do a more invasive surgery.
Blair and I found out that they scored her brain ultrasound a 1 (The scale is from 1-4 one being the best and four being the worst), but the doctor disagreed with that because he didn't see anything so they are going to do another ultrasound a week from this Thursday so we will continue to pray that the spot is gone and there is no question in a week.
