We are continuing to see Harli improve a little day by day, but she is still on the jet ventilator which we are hoping to see her get off of in the next day or so. The nurse practitioner said she will hopefully be off by Monday if everything goes good.
They are still continuing to get a little fluid out of the tube which they put in, and she has had a couple bowel movements which is a great sign that part of her intestine is working properly.
They have been taking her off of some of her fluids that she has been on since her surgery, which is a great sign. They did have to give her a blood transfusion because they are drawing more blood from her for test than her body can regenerate at this point. They will give her blood transfusion a little at a time over the course of 3 hours.
Harli's blood gases continue to show improvement, but still have a long way to go in order to get off the jet ventilator.
