12:30 a.m. Blair and I called the nurse to find out Harli's blood gas result and we were told that once again the results were high and they were putting her on the largest ventilator called the "jet ventilator".
1:00 a.m. Our nurse called Blair and I to ask us to come to the hospital.
1:15 a.m. Blair is in a wheel chair and I am running and pushing her through the halls to get to Harli's room as soon as possible.
1:20 a.m. The nurse practitioner informs Blair and I that Harli has a whole in her intestine and they were going to have to do a procedure to remove the gas, air and fluids that are in her stomach. Blair and I called our parents (in Adam's case he had to call his grandparents to have them go and wake up his parents:) The surgeon then came out and explained the procedure Blair and I chose for Harli to have done and then we sat and waited for the results.
2:00 a.m. Harli had her procedure done and the surgeon came out and said that everything went well and they were getting fluids out of the tube which they had installed.
The families started showing up and Blair was able to get a rest. The surgeon said if this procedure works she would start improving if it doesn't she will have to be cut open and they will have to try to repair the whole in her intestine.
